Built for NetSuite

Fund accounting that flows.

Fund accounting inside the ledger. Not beside it.

ION is fund administration software that runs inside your ERP. Capital calls, LP allocations, the distribution waterfall, and capital account statements all post from the same journal entries. No exports. No second ledger. Nothing to reconcile at quarter end.

Listed on the SuiteApp Marketplace (opens in a new tab). Installs into your fund's own NetSuite account. Nothing is charged until your tenant is activated.

The quarter end

Most funds keep a spreadsheet beside the books and reconcile it by hand. ION removes the spreadsheet.

Multi-entity

One fund family. Every entity. One ledger.

Master and feeders, parallel vehicles, co-invest SPVs, the general partner, and the management company. Each one is its own NetSuite subsidiary, with its own LPs and waterfall, all reported in US$. ION runs them all, and OneWorld consolidates them.

Built for the auditor

Every line traces back to the entry that produced it.

An LP forwards the statement to their auditor. The auditor asks where a number came from. In ION, the answer is a journal reference printed on the same page, searchable in the fund's own general ledger.

What is ION?

ION is fund administration software that runs inside your ERP. Capital calls, LP allocations, the distribution waterfall, and capital account statements are produced from the same journal entries in your general ledger, so there is no separate spreadsheet to reconcile at quarter end.

Does ION work with NetSuite OneWorld?

Yes. ION is listed on the SuiteApp Marketplace and maps each fund to a OneWorld subsidiary. Postings, approvals, and documents stay in your own NetSuite account and File Cabinet.

Can ION handle a fund family with many entities?

Yes. Every fund, master and feeder, parallel vehicle, co-invest SPV, general partner, and management company is its own NetSuite OneWorld subsidiary. ION runs capital calls, allocations, and waterfalls per entity, all in US dollars, and OneWorld consolidates the family with intercompany eliminations.

Does ION support QuickBooks Online or Sage Intacct?

The ION web app for QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, and other ERPs is coming soon. You can register your interest on this page and we will contact you when the connector opens for your ERP.

How does ION calculate the distribution waterfall?

Waterfall tiers such as return of capital, preferred return, GP catch-up, and carried interest are defined once against the LPA and versioned. At period end ION calculates each limited partner's share and posts it as a journal entry.

Is there an investor portal for limited partners?

Yes. Each LP signs in to see their capital account, unfunded commitment, capital account statements, Schedule K-1s, capital call notices, and banking instructions on any device.

Where is our financial data stored?

Fund financial data stays in your ERP. ION reads and posts journal entries in your own account; it does not keep a second ledger.

How is ION priced?

ION is priced per module, billed monthly in USD per tenant. You choose the modules your funds use, and nothing is charged until your tenant is activated. Current module prices are listed in the pricing section.

How do we get started?

Start onboarding online in about five minutes, or schedule a 30-minute demo with a fund accountant. After onboarding, ION is installed in your account, a setup wizard maps your funds and GL accounts, and a smoke test runs before go-live.
